Liz Culpepper is a New York-based mezzo-soprano. Originally from Austin, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Texas in 2015. She received her Master of Music in Voice from Indiana University in 2017 and completed
coursework for a Doctor of Music in Voice in 2021.
Liz has been teaching private voice lessons for six years and private piano lessons for two years. Her goals as an educator are to develop each student’s individual talents and to lay the foundation for a lifelong love of music.
Equally at home in opera and musical theater, Liz has sung a number of operatic roles with opera companies across the United States. Most recently, she appeared with Indianapolis Opera in their 2023-2024 season as Petra in Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music and as Mércèdes in Carmen. In New York, Liz works regularly with Teatro Nuovo and made her Lincoln Center debut in 2023 with the company.
